About the printmaker
Zoë Miller is a self-taught printmaker living in Glasgow, Scotland. A product designer by trade, Zoë specialises in user experience and interface design. However, working on a screen all day has fostered a deep-seated desire to create something tangible and beautiful that exists in real life. Inspired by her love for Glasgow's streets and architecture, she has created a collection of finely hand-drawn and hand-printed linocuts of traditional tenement "close" tiles. A tenement is a mid-to-late Victorian dwelling building which has decorative Art Nouveau-style tiles in the common stairway. Zoë's unique linocuts make beautiful gifts and are striking design statements of their own.
